FAQs

  • What conditions can Acupuncture Help with?

Acupuncture is commonly used to support general wellbeing, fertility & reproductive support for women & men, pregnancy & labour induction, autoimmune management, digestive health, cancer support, emotional trauma, depression, anxiety, insomnia, pain management, stress relief, sleep, and women’s health. Each treatment is tailored to your individual needs.

  • Does Acupuncture Hurt?

Acupuncture uses very fine, single-use sterile needles. Most people feel little to no discomfort, often just a mild sensation or tingling. Many find treatments deeply relaxing.

  • How Many Treatments Will i Need?

The number of sessions varies depending on your condition, health history, and treatment goals. Some people notice changes after 1–2 sessions, while others may require a series of treatments for long-term results.

  • What should i expect in my first appointment?

Your practitioner will spend time getting to know you, asking about your symptoms, sleep, digestion, stress levels, menstrual or reproductive health (if relevant), and overall wellbeing.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnostic methods may be used, such as examining your tongue, checking your pulse, or gentle palpation. This helps us understand your body’s patterns of balance and imbalance.

Other therapies such as cupping, moxibustion, gua sha, or herbal medicine may also be suggested.

You’ll be made comfortable throughout your treatment; many people find the session deeply relaxing, with some even falling asleep.

  • Is Acupuncture Safe?

Yes. When performed by a registered practitioner, acupuncture is very safe. All needles are sterile and single-use and disposed of immediately after treatment.
